我個人覺得新視野這套教材對讀寫的要求會更注重一些，有點以讀寫能力的提升帶動聽說能力的提升的意思，注重整體英語水平的提升。而考研英語和四六級英語都有專門的詞彙表，想通過有兩種途徑，一種是激進式的，為通過而通過，就是苦背詞彙，題海戰術，提高應試技能，外面的培訓班很多都是這樣的戰術，另一種是細水長流式的，就是你英語的綜合能力夠格，怎麼考都考不倒，新視野應該是屬於第二種。就是要系統地把這套書學下來，從聽說讀寫上綜合提高英語水平，綜合水平提高了，怎麼考也考不倒。
