快速閱讀 15分鍾，70分（10%）
（寫作與快速閱讀卷一起發，一起收，所以這兩部分在45分鍾之內做完就可以了）

聽力35分鍾 249分（35%）

仔細閱讀（包括選詞填空和篇章閱讀）25分鍾，179分（25%）
完型和改錯二選一 15分鍾，70分（10%）
翻譯和簡答二選一 5分鍾，35分（5%）

★新四級題型分析報告★

新四級源於老四級又有別於老四級，具體而言，兩者的區別主要在以下幾個方面可以體現。

第一、評分體制不同。

老四級滿分為100分，及格分為60分；而新四級滿分為710分，最低分數為290分，及格分數線425分。這是一種表面的變化，無非是把原來的分數放大了7.1倍，但是這個評分體制的影響卻是積極的。因為以前在100分制時，60至85之間均發合格證，看不出成績的高低，不能完全體現考生水平，更不能體現考生聽力、閱讀、寫作等方面的分項能力。現在710分制下，成績單將會分項計分，聽力、閱讀、綜合和寫作的成績都將具體給出，這可以明顯反映考生英語水平具體的情況，是口頭能力強還是筆頭能力強等。

第二、考查手段有異。

具體說來是指題型有了變化。比如，聽力部分，原來的題型是短對話以及短文或復合式聽力二選一，而現在新四級復合式聽力成為必考，此外又增加了長對話（這種題型來源於托福考試的傳統題型）。又如，閱讀以前只考篇章閱讀理解，即考四篇文章，每篇文章後面有五個題目；現在閱讀分為快速閱讀，選詞填空，以及兩篇和老四級一樣的篇章閱讀理解（其中，快速閱讀佔10％，仔細閱讀佔25％）。再如，綜合部分，原來是或簡答或翻譯或完型三選一，而現在是兩個二選一的題型，即改錯和完型二選一，簡答和翻譯二選一。而且翻譯老四級是英譯漢，新四級是漢譯英。最後，新老四級的一個重大區別是新四級將沒有詞彙與結構部分。兩者不變的是四級的寫作部分。

對發生變動的各個題型作一個綜合分析，可以看出新四級更加側重主觀題的考查，考生需要寫的部分更多了。比如，聽力部分的復合式聽力部分，快速閱讀的最後三個題目，改錯部分等等。

第三、考查程序不一。

老四級的考試程序是：聽力——閱讀——詞彙與結構——或完型或翻譯或簡答三選一題型——寫作；而新四級的考試程序有了變化：寫作——快速閱讀——聽力 ——仔細閱讀（包括選詞填空和篇章閱讀）——完型和改錯二選一——翻譯和簡答二選一。考試程序的變化對考生應試心理的要求不同，對考試過程中時間調配的方法亦不盡相同。比如，老四級可以把詞彙題的時間壓縮一點，把閱讀題的時間增加一點；而現在如果要增加第四部分閱讀理解的時間，只能犧牲一點綜合題的時間了，時間融通的難度有所加大。又如，老四級考試把寫作部分設置在最後，考生可以借用或犧牲前面一些難題的時間（在實際操作中，很多情況下卷一和卷二會在開始就一起發給考生），而新四級卻把寫作放在開頭，而且等30分鍾過去後，才發快速閱讀的材料，這樣對寫作速度就有了更加嚴格的要求。

第四、考查重點有變。

新四級把聽力部分的分數比重從20%上升到35%，而閱讀部分的比重由40%下降到35%。這一變化可以說四級考試把聽和讀的能力放在不分伯仲的地位。另外，新四級加入了快速閱讀，信息含量大大增加。綜合講，新四級提高了「聽的能力和讀的速度」，這體現現代社會不僅需要大量的信息閱覽，而且還需要實際的口頭交流，交流的前提是聽懂對方的語言。新的時事促進改革，改革體現新的時事。信息大爆炸的社會，需要你更快更準的攝取你所需的資料，國際化的時代，需要你熟練地與外交流。新四級的改革多多少少還是反應了這些社會大背景。

雖然，新四級題型等的改變就像「多米諾骨牌」，會產生一系列連鎖反應，比如復習重點的不同、解題方法的不同等等，但是新四級並不是完全孤立與老四級，兩者之間還是有密切聯系。這種聯系，就是破解新四級的法寶。比如，快速閱讀的解題方法就是老四級中細節題的方法，即先看題干再看原文，根據題乾的中心話題在原文中找答案。更何況，新四級的大部分題目的考試形式和老四級是一樣的。所以，新老四級的關系就是：新四級源於老四級又有別於老四級，要學好前者需先了解後者。
