競賽時間和操作細則001. 初賽時間及形式：初賽定於2012年4月8日(星期日)上午9:00—11:00在全國各地同時舉行。初賽賽題包括筆答和聽力兩部分。初賽聽力採取播放錄音的形式。

002. 決賽時間及形式：決賽筆試（含聽力）定於2012年5月13日(星期日)上午9:00—11:00在全國各地同時舉行。決賽分兩種方式，各地可任選一種：第一種是只參加筆試(含聽力)，第二種是參加筆試(含聽力)和口試。只參加筆試(含聽力)的學生的決賽成績滿分為150分; 既參加筆試（含聽力）又參加口試的學生滿分是200分，其中筆試分數為150分(含聽力)，口試分數為50分。決賽賽題和口試方案、題目由全國競賽組委會統一命制。各省級競賽組委會選擇是否統一參加口試，並決定口試地點、時間、形式等具體事宜。

003. 賽場設置：以省（自治區、直轄市）為一個賽區，競賽活動在省（自治區、直轄市）競賽組委會的領導下，初賽由各參賽高校設賽點組織進行，決賽由省（自治區、直轄市）競賽組委會統一安排考場。所有賽點的標准賽場考生必須為30人；非標准賽場考生必須低於30人。凡是安排超過30人的賽場，視為違反賽規。

004. 聽力測試：所有初、決賽賽點須提前安排和檢查好聽力設備和場地。聽力測試必須在規定時間統一播放，在規定時間結束，否則視為違反賽規。自2011年起，全國大學生英語競賽初、決賽聽力部分將採用光碟播放的形式，光碟配發比例為100：1（參賽人數：光碟數）。若確因特殊情況無法使用光碟播放聽力的參賽單位，在向省（自治區、直轄市）組委會提交的報名表中要特別標注使用聽力磁帶，磁帶的配發比例仍為30：1（參賽人數：磁帶數），未特殊標注者將統一發放光碟。同時，為做好保密工作，防止聽力泄題，聽力光碟將設置打開密碼，由全國競賽組委會於考前一周電話通知各省（自治區、直轄市）競賽組委會主要負責人，由該主要負責人通知所在省（自治區、直轄市）各參賽單位負責人。

005. 賽區巡視：各省（自治區、直轄市）競賽組委會須派特派員(巡視員)檢查和巡視初賽賽場及評卷工作；決賽工作由省（自治區、直轄市）競賽組委會統一安排。

Cash reward is a common form of motivation used by parents with high expectation to encourage their children 夷work hard at exam time. Some youngsters receive payments of as much as 誼100 for each A grade they obtain at GSCE. But would such「bribes」be based on exam performance or
should they, as many parents and teachers feel, be offered in recognition of a child蒺s effort, regardless of results? The later approach would solve the problems of how parents reward children with different levels of ability; imagine, for example, a family with one child who is academically gift and
another who has learning difficulties. The dangers of result-relating incentives for the second child are clear; with little hope of obtaining the higher grades, the withholding of promised financial rewards would only compound of the
child蒺s feeling of false. However, some leading ecational psychologists
