一英語的影響力

二如何學習英語
(1)當你決定認真去學習英語,第一件要做的事情不是去買一本語法書,而是訓練自己的耳朵,去開始分辨並接受這門新語言所帶來的獨特聲音。跳過在腦海里翻譯成母語這一步,才能學會直接用英文去思考,否則你永遠只是在練習「翻譯」而已。
(2)注意避免那種事無巨細地陳列出每一條語法規則的語法書。這種一股腦的甚至呈不可控制之勢的語法羅列方式,會是你自學時的災難。你需要完整講解英語發音體系、詳細描述了口型和舌位的英語語音書,而且最好不止一本,以便相互印證補充。

在我們的孿生女兒出生後的第一次「約會」時,我和丈夫一起去看了一部名為《玩具故事》的電影。我們很喜歡這部片子,但隨後我丈夫問道:「父親在哪兒呢?」起初我還認為因為一個小小的失誤而批評一部很吸引人的家庭影片似乎是太偏狹了。可後來越想越覺得這一疏忽太嚴重了。父親不僅沒有出現,他甚至沒有被提到—— 盡管家中有嬰兒,說明他不可能離開太長時間。影片給人的感覺是,父親出現與否似乎是個極次要的細節,甚至不需要做任何解釋。
