Breiter and his colleagues found that the same part of the n lightsup as when a hungry person sees food, or a gambler eyes cash, or a drug addictsees a fix. 設法對付人的重壓感〔二〕
戰勝重壓感有兩種方法:一是精神上戰勝它,二是從身體上戰勝它。醫學研究表明，人的心身是相互關連的，也就是說你的心理健康影響著你的身體狀況，反之亦然。正如你已知道的，對重壓的消極反應可能使身體出現患病症狀，如頭疼、肌肉發緊或者胃功能紊亂。反之，你的身體狀況也會引起你精神壓抑。所以對付重壓感保持身心健康是相當重要的。
下文中給你介紹一些對付重壓感的技巧。 1．改變你所能改變的，接受你所不能改變的。
設法對付緊張壓力的最重要部分是：弄清楚哪些情形是你能改變的，學會去接受那些你無法改變的情形。當你區分了哪些情形是你能控制的，哪些情形是你無法控制的，那你就知道何時應採取行動，何時應不去理睬那些你解決不了的問題。
例如：房子里很亂，這讓你煩心，你可以採取行動去收拾它。你可以安排一個周末把那些你實際已不再需要的東西扔掉。這是一種你能夠改變的情形。然而，如果你不喜歡本學期你所上的某一門課，你便需要採用一些技巧來對付這種令你產生重壓感的情形，直到學期結束。在這種情形下，你接受挑戰，並且學會處理這種情形的方法。
來自外界的壓力時常會導致重壓感。我們有兩個選擇：我們或者改變對自己的要求，或者改變對壓力的自我感知和反應。有時候，我們必須得承認：我們對自己的某些要求是不合理的。於是，我們要麼接受它們，要麼努力去改變這些要求。
例如：一位老師布置一項作業，並規定了完成日期。由於你還有其他要做的作業，你開始覺得這項作業不合理；你覺得需要更多的時間來完成。此時，你有兩種可能的選擇：你可以試圖去改變這個要求（如讓老師延長點期限），或者你可以接受這種情況，改變你對這件事情的感知（如想想這項作業還是能完成的）。 在後一種情況下，你或許需要去重新估計和改變你的其他作業安排。通過認識到在壓力面前你是有選擇的——要麼改變對自己的要求，要麼改變對要求的自我感知或反應——你就會覺得你是有控制力的。
當你通讀自己列出的緊張壓力一覽表時，找出生活中一兩種你能夠較容易改變、並且能對你產生影響的情形。就這一兩種情形採取行動，這樣你就會用最少的努力獲得最大的積極作用。即使解決你生活中的一兩個問題，也會使你輕松許多。
與此同時，還要認識到有些壓力是你眼下無法改變的。如何對付這些壓力下期將會談到。
正確地看問題 有時候, 我們擔心的事情從未發生過. 在思考導致你感到緊張壓力的問題時, 不妨想想在相同情況下,你會給朋友什麼樣的勸告?這種情況在你的一生中,一 年中,一周中到底有多麼重要?然後決定什麼是值得你拼搏的,那些不甚重要的 煩擾就別去管了.研究表明,對一個事件的描寫有助於人們度過身心受到傷害或 感到緊張的情景.對於一些人來說寫作可起到治療作用,有助於正確看待問題. 你可以用日記來表達自己內心深處的想法和感受,你不必非得寫好,只是讓你的 思想和情感不受任何阻礙地湧出,不加任何評判! 持積極的態度 如果你是一位看待事物較為消極的人, 那麼採取積極的態度對你來說就會是一種新的技能.使你自己持積極態度的一種方法是:寫下來並說出幾句肯定自己的話.你要堅定地鼓勵自己,比如:"我是一個有信心,有能力的人,我能夠應付挑戰."當你的自言自語是積極向上的時候,你就很難有被擊敗的情緒.另一 種減輕壓力的技巧是擁有積極的想像力.當面臨一個問題時,試圖去想像你想要 的結果.這種技巧是職業運動員經常使用的,而且是非常成功的.你也可以想像 積極的結果,以取得事業的成功.有時候,人們會面臨無法改變的不幸.在這種 情況下,有助於你的做法可以是:想一想你所擁有的能支持並有助於你克服困難的財富和資源(例如:家庭,朋友,技能,教育,錢財,好的身體).
