即使是最新的劍6，收錄的都是2－3年前的文章。而閱讀真經則根據機經編寫，收錄了與最近考試內容相關的文章。所附題目非雅思考官編寫，僅供參考。這本書的最大價值是可以用作熟悉閱讀題材，擴充場景詞彙的材料。據稱《閱讀真經》曾屢次命中考題，12月15日雅思A類閱讀第二篇「烏鴉製造工具」與閱讀真經3其中一篇文章題材一致。

這個要看學習英語口語的目的。
假如是為了應付日常的復雜的交流，並且想短期內進步的（幾個月內），那麼可以看一些英語句子類的圖書，引薦緣由：日常口語假如想疾速上手可以不運用教學材料類的圖書，而是用專門用於英語口語入門類的圖書。次要思索一本英語口語入門書經過30~50個小時重復迷信的學習和自我訓練才可以到達純熟運用簡易英語口語表達的效果，假如用多冊成套的教學材料，學習工夫更長，雖然專業性和零碎性較強，課程布置愈加迷信及合理，但是不利於短期口語實際操作的進步。
