作为一个申请LLM的过来人，我想说法学院推荐信和其他学院推荐信总体来说没有什么不同，都是从教授的观点来看你这个学生的某些特质和优点。

信的格式什么的我想应该不用多说了吧？

首先是总起段，一般介绍教授写该信的目的（推荐进XX学校）及与被推荐学生的关系（如何认识，认识多久等）

接着开始正文。正文的话两段至三段请随意，每一段针对你的一个方面来写（如课外活动，学术表现，性格，英语水平等，）如果事例比较长的话两段足矣，因为推荐信最多不能超过一页半，而且有些可以在PS里写的事情，在推荐信里反而多说多错，万一你东西堆砌太多，人家打电话或者email来求证时教授记不起来或者答不出来，到时倒霉的还是你= =

正文完了以后是结束段，这个的套路基本上就是把你的优点总结总结然后坚信你会在XX学校，自己准备两三个不同的模板套在不同教授的推荐信里。

个人认为写推荐信难的地方有两点，一是内容二是风格。

内容主要难在分配上。这个教授写了某一方面，另一个教授的信最好就不要写了，除非你那一个特点非常突出值得强调，不然是浪费空间。

第二，语言风格。写之前要想好每个教授的写作风格不一样，写作时要注意语言的运用，不然很容易看出来是一个人写的。比如X教授走学术严谨风，Y教授走亲切温柔风，前者你可以通过列举一些你的缺点以及多用一些复杂的长句子和生僻词来表现（我当时就用了一堆我自己从来不用的倒装句和从句套从句），后者则可以多用些简单句和词组，以及举比较生活性的例子。

不要担心列举缺点会降低对你的评价。没有人是十全十美的，如果你完美了学校还能怎么帮助你进步呢？

我当时是参考的新东方出的那本留学推荐信模板，嗯，对我个人来说有点鸡肋，不过如果实在觉得无从下手时，可以翻一翻找找灵感，不过记得千万不能照抄，你抄很多人肯定也都抄，模板啥的学校应该都已经看腻了。
