I like listening English music, sometimes I listen or watch English programs on radio or TV.But these ways are not enough.So I do as he asks. For example :do one reading a day, try my best to memorise ten new words every day ,learn two or three good articles by heart every week and so on.
Mr Li is a helpful gentleman ,he makes me feel warm. He said grades are not only, I agree with him. As a student talent is not the most important, I believe I can be good at English, because I work hard and I have such a good teacher.

1. Preparation
The key to making a good first impression occurs before your appearance at some occasion. Be clear on your objectives and what you want to get out of each event. I recommend doing some research on the keynote speaker and other attendees which will equip you with some knowledge upfront. Try, ‘Nice to meet you John, so what line of work are you in?’ To get a conversation flowing, ask open-ended questions and listen. If you are actively listening to the information you are receiving, it makes it a lot easier to have a natural follow on discussion. Networking protocol is about having good manners. So, don’t aggressively sell yourself or your business when you first meet someone. Swapping business cards, ideas, information and having something interesting to say (from your research and preparation) will all make sure you are remembered.

4. Follow up
One of the most important aspects is making a lasting impression. Following up your contacts can involve sending a card, email, information, or a phone call. My advice – make some key notes after the event to ensure you remember any finer points about your conversation.

On the very first day in college, I was surprised to find the campus was so large. Believe it or not, I even lost my way to the dormitory when I returned from the dining hall.
At first, I had difficulty adapting myself to college life. In college, we had more free time than in middle school. In the evening, we were not required to study in the classroom. Instead, we could go anywhere and do what we want. I was at a loss on how to make use of so much free time. Then I borrowed a number of books from the library and most of them were novels, which I had no chance to read in middle school. Besides reading books in my spare time, I played table tennis for fun and made enormous progress.
In my opinion, study should be the priority of our college life. Besides, we can take part in sports activities and have fun. Of course, we may take parttime jobs to improve our skills. In all, college life should be colorful and meaningful.
