Text A 追寻我的梦想
这是地区的田径运动会——我们整个季节都在为之训练的田径运动会。我的脚
早些时候受了伤,此时还没有痊愈。实际上,我一直在考虑是否应该参加这次运

他们一直没有截去男孩的双腿,但当绷带被最终拆去时,人们发现他的右腿比左
腿短了差不多有3 英寸。他左脚的脚趾几乎全部被烧光了。然而,那男孩却非常
坚强。虽然痛苦难熬,但他仍强迫自己每天锻炼,最后终于痛苦地走了几步。在
缓慢的康复过程中,年轻人终于扔掉了双拐,开始几乎是正常地行走了,很快地
他就跑了起来。
这个意志坚强的年轻人不停地跑啊,跑啊,跑啊——而那两条差一点就被切除
的腿竟然使他创造了一项一英里跑的世界纪录。他的名字?格伦?坎宁安。他被
称为“世界上跑得最快的人”,并在麦迪逊广场花园被命名为世纪运动员。
