2006年6月17日，最后一次四级旧题型考试已揭开神秘面纱。本次听力题目采用了短对话+短文的形式。

就短对话部分而言，这次考试总体难度与往年相比略有增加，整个10个对话中，虽然并没有出现太多的生词和难词，但对话句子的长度却有了明显的增长，大部分的句子都不少于10个单词，这无疑增加了对同学短期记忆和捕捉信息能力的考查。就解题技巧而言，除了这些长句的障碍，基本上以考察听言外之意和辨析混淆信息为主。比如，本次试题的第2、7、9题分别为地点混淆，时间混淆和人物混淆，其中第2题与93年6月的一道四级听力题目有相似之处：
