美国的药学专业和在我们中国所认识的药学专业,是非常的不同的.在美国的本科,现在已经没有药学的专业了.都是在大学本科之后三到四年拿到一个学位.叫Pharm.D.(Doctor of Pharmacy),是一个a professional degrees，是在大学本科毕业之后再念3到4年。
药学专业毕业后工作问题
一般到医厂，制药公司工作的话，还是需要Ph.D，以研究为主，制药方面念pharmaceutical chemistry，pharmacology，生物类的念免疫系学，biochemistry,biophysics.UCSF的药学毕业生,每年大约125个毕业生，只有2,3个毕业生到制药公司，但是他们也不是去做药物合成,他们做的比较像是,clinical pharmacy，药厂的Pharm.D.做的通常是PK(pharmacokinetic)PD(pharmacodynamics)或clinical trial.都跟临床有关，有些人在毕业后。还会念一些别的学位位。可以到FDA工作或者继续在念Ph.D.或者是MBA.
要进学校的敎学的，通常都要PhD+Pharm.D，不一定要完全专注在研究方面，但是需要有学位，和research方面的经验，尤其在academia方面。
毕业后的出路，大部分PharmD,都在药局，主要负责配药(distribution of drugs)和咨询(clinicalconsulting)
在药房工作,主要有2个工作:一个是药剂师(pharmacist)，一个是药剂师助pharmacy tech.
Pharmacy tech主要就是配药，包装，申请保险。药房主要的工作是以药剂师为主。
Pharm.D.毕业之后主要是去药房,药房有也有好几种，像是一般药房，如Walgreen,另外一种就是在医院里面。
药师的工作:
发药，发药感觉上好像很简单，其实不是的，因为现在有些年纪很大的人，吃很多种药。这些各种不同的药，从各个不同的医生来的，这些不同的药，又会有很大的交互作用，这些交互作用可能会造成致命的结果!所以建议，如果是年长者，到药局去拿药最好选择都在同一个药房拿药，药剂师可以看到完整的用药资料，可以调整用药或用方法，或者直接医生建议，不要服用到不可以一起使用的药。

简单的说一下美国的医学院，首先你要在本科的时候学医学的基本课程，比如生物化学和物理，这些是最基本的条件，然后还有就是TOEFL和考医学院必须的考试MCAT，这个考试是类似于科学和生物的考试，这些东西你都有了，还有就看你的GPA以及你写的计划书之类的东西来决定是否录取你。对中国学生来，录取美国的医学院真的很难。所以你要很努力才有希望。

美国的设备是最好的，当然入学条件也很苛刻。英国也很难，他们本国的学生通过A-level考试进入医学院的也是极少数，所以几乎是不可能的。

Three letters of recommendation
