美國食品營養專業包括食品科學和營養學兩大方面。你將系統學習食品安全和質量，營養成分，食品生產和食譜開發，健康飲食規劃和營養學咨詢。下面就給大家介紹美國食品營養專業比較好的學校。 Food和Nutrition專業和排名的介紹向來很少，大家想申請的話還是把學校的網站看好自己作判斷吧。Cornell的Food據說是全美第一，另外感覺系比較大，做東西比較好的學校還有Wisc, OSU, PSU, UMN，Rutgers(記得以前版上有個廣告說food and economics program 招人的，有意向此方向發展的可以留意下), UCDavis等。Nutrition的話如果想做比較Clinical的可以申一些醫學院下面或者獨立的公衛學院下的Nutritionprogram。JHU的很好，不過沒見人申請到過，Harvard public health school里的也不錯,曾經很yy的program, 後來一念之差沒有申，殘念。。。我申的都是偏農業的以及雜七雜八的Nutrition program，下面詳述一下 Cornell: program 大，從分子到國際營養學方向都有，40多個faculty，還有public policy, economy的joint professor.分子營養覺得1家做葉酸代謝的不錯，還有做氨基酸和微量元素的，有復旦的校友剛在那兒升了AP，做脂代謝。國際和群體營養方向的pro多WHO背景，研究第三世界人民營養狀況，尤其是母嬰營養水平。nutrition policy的研究也很好。很崇高的職業嗯，不過估計到時如果在那邊就業ceiling會蠻大的 OSU: 一個跨專業的program, food, nutrition，animal science 還有其他系的faculty都有，Ohio農業印象中蠻發達的，OSU的Nutrition program 相應也比較好。研究也很多樣，1的faculty告訴我那裡是最大的乳酸菌基因組研究中心，設備也很好。另外還有做食品的啦，obesity的啦…進去拿的fellowship,可以rotation, 具體廣告還是留給Shirley吧，o(∩_∩)o… UMN: 與food department 連在一起的，faculty多，研究的東西全。農業發達。系裡先審查給admission, 然後跟pro 聯系可以拿到RA, 所以要申請的話建議套磁。聯系過那裡的教授，也同意給我financial aid, 但要我盡快回復，於是很心痛的把1家拒了。Wisc: program 很好，不過很難拿到fellow，套磁是王道。以molecular 和human nutrition基礎研究為主. UCBerkeley: 有個molecular and cellular nutrition program. 印象最深的是元老級人物Ames. 看program名稱就知道都做的是分子營養，mineral metabolism 研究不錯。好像00級有人申到的，不過鑒於1家funding最近很緊張，不持樂觀態度 UT-Austin: 沒有仔細看，有學長在那裡做免疫方向研究 PSU: 也是比較友好的一個program, 不過結果出的超晚的，如果申的話要有等待的耐心。進去還是做分子研究為多 UIUC: 可以申請Food and Nutrition program，這個歸系裡管，還可以申請NutritionalSciences, 跨專業的。也是先給admission, 套磁轉RA.
