『壹』 白岩松耶魯大學演講 觀後感1000字

感想——白岩松美國耶魯大學演講
這是一場有很多「夢想、改變」字眼的演講，既有個人命運，也有國家命運，關於中國，也關於美國。在演講的最後，白岩松用了一個望遠鏡的比喻，形容中國和美國在過去的很多年裡頭缺乏相互的了解和溝通，他說這是兩個都曾經用望遠鏡看彼此的國度，只不過中國看到的是放大的美國，而美國則把望遠鏡拿反了，他們更多看到了一個縮小的錯誤不斷的中國。「我也一直有一個夢想。為什麼要用望遠鏡來看彼此？」「希望非常多的美國人，有機會去看看中國。」 而被譽為「總統搖籃」的耶魯大學顯然是真正的卧虎藏龍之地，甚至說它影響美國歷史進程也不為過。僅僅在過去20年，連續三任美國總統老布希、柯林頓與小布希，都是耶魯畢業生(而美國新任國務卿希拉里當年在耶魯校園圖書館與柯林頓相識相戀的故事也為很多人熟知)，這在美國歷史上也創下了紀錄。直到高舉change大旗的哈佛畢業生奧巴馬成為新任美國總統，才讓哈佛生們揚眉吐氣了一把。因為在美國，向來有「先有哈佛後有美國」的說法，而創辦於1701年的耶魯大學則「屈居」美國第二所最古老的高等學府。
在學風開放的耶魯，幾乎每天都有來自全世界各地學者、政要以及各界精英的演講。但耶魯校方顯然對這次演講給予了「精心」的安排，把演講的地點定在以耶魯畢業生亨利·盧斯(Henry Luce)名字命名的盧斯禮堂(Luce Hall)。亨利·盧斯是《時代》周刊創始人，美國20世紀最著名的新聞人之一，而盧斯禮堂也第一次迎來了中國的新聞人。演講現場的火爆超乎攝制組的想像，不僅過道上擠滿了師生，還有一些人因為晚到而被校園主辦方婉拒在門外。因為耶魯學生向來以個性和尖銳著稱，甚至有時還會有些「傲慢」，岩松顯然事先就做好了「挨磚」的准備，他還和學生們開了一個小小的玩笑，「歡迎大家扔鞋，但最好是兩只，請記得我的鞋號是43號」。
聽了白岩松的演講，其實這段視頻我在課下就已經看過了，白岩松的某些話深深地觸動了我，給我最深影響的就是「在過去的很多年裡，中國人在用望遠鏡看美國，把美國給擴大化了，認為美國這個好那個好，什麼都比中國的要好；而美國人似乎也在用望遠鏡看中國，可是卻拿反了，把中國給縮小化了」。我想美國人看到的只是中國社會中一些陰暗和不良的社會現象，但他們把中國看「低」了！
以前很多人認為中國什麼都比不上美國，美國的什麼都好，好的方面好，不好的方面也好，當然我也不例外。但現在的我逐漸轉變了這樣極其幼稚的看法。然而，我要說的是不要忘了自己是一個「中國人」，你生在中國，成長在中國，將來還可能在這片土地上離去，可能永遠不能去美國、成為美國人。因此作為中國人的我們就應該為自己能為中國人而驕傲。中國人就應該有自己的民族自豪感，民族責任感，我們要為振興中華而努力奮斗，卻不該總是稱贊美國而貶低自己的國家。
我雖然現在還年輕，但中國近十年的變化震撼著我。我看到了中國一直在努力讓十三億國民過上更美好的生活，增加每個人的收入，提高每個家庭的幸福指數，為每個中國人盡著一個國家應盡的職責。我深切感受到中國用有限的土地養活了全世界五分之一的人口，中國的農民能拿著國家的補貼在種糧；中國的國民在國外受到戰亂的影響，中國就能調動全國的力量進行幾萬人的世紀大遷徙；在遙遠的索馬裏海域的商船上，你可以看到中國海軍在為你護航；在不久的將來，神秘的太空中將有屬於中國自己的空間站。作為中國人的我們，又有什麼理由不為自己能是個中國人而自豪呢？
在每一個國家的歷史進程中，都會有各式各樣的問題與矛盾，這是個必然的結果。我不得不承認美國現在的發展水平確實比中國要好，在某些領域的技術水平比中國還要先進得多，但是我們仍在努力，問題與矛盾會逐漸得到解決與化解，中國會越來越好，當然這是每個中國人都願意看到的。
在國際社會中，中國離不開美國，美國更離不開中國，希望這兩個國家都能和諧發展，彼此互惠互利。借用白岩松的一句話就是：中美的面對面總要好於背對背。李然 人文 法2班

(Applause。) How about Tim Spicer? (Applause。) I am here with students at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. And we've got students tuning in from all across America, from kindergarten through 12th grade. And I am just so glad that all could join us today. And I want to thank Wakefield for being such an outstanding host. Give yourselves a big round of applause. (Applause。) I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, it's your first day in a new school, so it's understandable if you're a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now -- (applause) -- with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade you're in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer and you could've stayed in bed just a little bit longer this morning. I know that feeling. When I was young, my family lived overseas. I lived in Indonesia for a few years. And my mother, she didn't have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an American ecation. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the morning. Now, as you might imagine, I wasn't too happy about getting up that early. And a lot of times, I'd fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever I'd complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and she'd say, "This is no picnic for me either, buster."謹飢 (Laughter。) So I know that some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. But I'仔晌攜m here today because I have something important to discuss with you. I'念伏m here because I want to talk with you about your ecation and what's expected of all of you in this new school year. Now, I've given a lot of speeches about ecation. And I've talked about responsibility a lot. I've talked about teachers' responsibility for inspiring students and pushing you to learn. I've talked about your parents' responsibility for making sure you stay on track, and you get your homework done, and don't spend every waking hour in front of the TV or with the Xbox. I've talked a lot about your government's responsibility for setting high standards, and supporting teachers and principals, and turning around schools that aren't working, where students aren't getting the opportunities that they deserve. But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world -- and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other alts and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. That's what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your ecation. I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something that you're good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That's the opportunity an ecation can provide. Maybe you could be a great writer -- maybe even good enough to write a book or articles in a newspaper -- but you might not know it until you write that English paper -- that English class paper that's assigned to you. Maybe you could be an innovator or an inventor -- maybe even good enough to come up with the next iPhone or the new medicine or vaccine -- but you might not know it until you do your project for your science class. Maybe you could be a mayor or a senator or a Supreme Court justice -- but you might not know that until you join student government or the debate team. And no matter what you want to do with your life, I guarantee that you'll need an ecation to do it. You want to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a police officer? You want to be a nurse or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? You're going to need a good ecation for every single one of those careers. You cannot drop out of school and just drop into a good job. You've got to train for it and work for it and learn for it. And this isn't just important for your own life and your own future. What you make of your ecation will decide nothing less than the future of this country. The future of America depends on you. What you're learning in school today will determine whether we as a nation can meet our greatest challenges in the future. You'll need the knowledge and problem-solving skills you learn in science and math to cure diseases like cancer and AIDS, and to develop new energy technologies and protect our environment. You'll need the insights and critical-thinking skills you gain in history and social studies to fight poverty and homelessness, crime and discrimination, and make our nation more fair and more free. You'll need the creativity and ingenuity you develop in all your classes to build new companies that will create new jobs and boost our economy. We need every single one of you to develop your talents and your skills and your intellect so you can help us old folks solve our most difficult problems. If you don't do that -- if you quit on school -- you're not just quitting on yourself, you're quitting on your country. Now, I know it's not always easy to do well in school. I know a lot of you have challenges in your lives right now that can make it hard to focus on your schoolwork. I get it. I know what it's like. My father left my family when I was two years old, and I was raised by a single mom who had to work and who struggled at times to pay the bills and wasn't always able to give us the things that other kids had. There were times when I missed having a father in my life. There were times when I was lonely and I felt like I didn't fit in. So I wasn't always as focused as I should have been on school, and I did some things I'm not proud of, and I got in more trouble than I should have. And my life could have easily taken a turn for the worse. But I was -- I was lucky. I got a lot of second chances, and I had the opportunity to go to college and law school and follow my dreams. My wife, our First Lady Michelle Obama, she has a similar story. Neither of her parents had gone to college, and they didn't have a lot of money. But they worked hard, and she worked hard, so that she could go to the best schools in this country. Some of you might not have those advantages. Maybe you don't have alts in your life who give you the support that you need. Maybe someone in your family has lost their job and there's not enough money to go around. Maybe you live in a neighborhood where you don't feel safe, or have friends who are pressuring you to do things you know aren't right. But at the end of the day, the circumstances of your life -- what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what you've got going on at home -- none of that is an excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude in school. That's no excuse for talking back to your teacher, or cutting class, or dropping out of school. There is no excuse for not trying. Where you are right now doesn't have to determine where you'll end up. No one's written your destiny for you, because here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future. That's what young people like you are doing every day, all across America. Young people like Jazmin Perez, from Roma, Texas. Jazmin didn't speak English when she first started school. Neither of her parents had gone to college. But she worked hard, earned good grades, and got a scholarship to Brown University -- is now in graate school, studying public health, on her way to becoming Dr. Jazmin Perez. I'm thinking about Andoni Schultz, from Los Altos, California, who's fought brain cancer since he was three. He's had to enre all sorts of treatments and surgeries, one of which affected his memory, so it took him much longer -- hundreds of extra hours -- to do his schoolwork. But he never fell behind. He's headed to college this fall. And then there's Shantell Steve, from my hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Even when bouncing from foster home to foster home in the toughest neighborhoods in the city, she managed to get a job at a local health care center, start a program to keep young people out of gangs, and she's on track to graate high school with honors and go on to college. And Jazmin, Andoni, and Shantell aren't any different from any of you. They face challenges in their lives just like you do. In some cases they've got it a lot worse off than many of you. But they refused to give up. They chose to take responsibility for their lives, for their ecation, and set goals for themselves. And I expect all of you to do the same. That's why today I'm calling on each of you to set your own goals for your ecation -- and do everything you can to meet them. Your goal can be something as simple as doing all your homework, paying attention in class, or spending some time each day reading a book. Maybe you'll decide to get involved in an extracurricular activity, or volunteer in your community. Maybe you'll decide to stand up for kids who are being teased or bullied because of who they are or how they look, because you believe, like I do, that all young people deserve a safe environment to study and learn. Maybe you'll decide to take better care of yourself so you can be more ready to learn. And along those lines, by the way, I hope all of you are washing your hands a lot, and that you stay home from school when you don't feel well, so we can keep people from getting the flu this fall and winter. But whatever you resolve to do, I want you to commit to it. I want you to really work at it. I know that sometimes you get that sense from TV that you can be rich and successful without any hard work -- that your ticket to success is through rapping or basketball or being a reality TV star. Chances are you're not going to be any of those things. The truth is, being successful is hard. You won't love every subject that you study. You won't click with every teacher that you have. Not every homework assignment will seem completely relevant to your life right at this minute. And you won't necessarily succeed at everything the first time you try. That's okay. Some of the most successful people in the world are the ones who've had the most failures. J.K. Rowling's -- who wrote Harry Potter -- her first Harry Potter book was rejected 12 times before it was finally published. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. He lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots ring his career. But he once said, "I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that's why I succeed." These people succeeded because they understood that you can't let your failures define you -- you have to let your failures teach you. You have to let them show you what to do differently the next time. So if you get into trouble, that doesn't mean you're a troublemaker, it means you need to try harder to act right. If you get a bad grade, that doesn't mean you're stupid, it just means you need to spend more time studying. No one's born being good at all things. You become good at things through hard work. You're not a varsity athlete the first time you play a new sport. You don't hit every note the first time you sing a song. You've got to practice. The same principle applies to your schoolwork. You might have to do a math problem a few times before you get it right. You might have to read something a few times before you understand it. You definitely have to do a few drafts of a paper before it's good enough to hand in. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I do that every day. Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength because it shows you have the courage to admit when you don't know something, and that then allows you to learn something new. So find an alt that you trust -- a parent, a grandparent or teacher, a coach or a counselor -- and ask them to help you stay on track to meet your goals. And even when you're struggling, even when you're discouraged, and you feel like other people have given up on you, don't ever give up on yourself, because when you give up on yourself, you give up on your country. The story of America isn't about people who quit when things got tough. It's about people who kept going, who tried harder, who loved their country too much to do anything less than their best. It's the story of students who sat where you sit 250 years ago, and went on to wage a revolution and they founded this nation. Young people. Students who sat where you sit 75 years ago who overcame a Depression and won a world war; who fought for civil rights and put a man on the moon. Students who sat where you sit 20 years ago who founded Google and Twitter and Facebook and changed the way we communicate with each other. So today, I want to ask all of you, what's your contribution going to be? What problems are you going to solve? What discoveries will you make? What will a President who comes here in 20 or 50 or 100 years say about what all of you did for this country? Now, your families, your teachers, and I are doing everything we can to make sure you have the ecation you need to answer these questions. I'm working hard to fix up your classrooms and get you the books and the equipment and the computers you need to learn. But you've got to do your part, too. So I expect all of you to get serious this year. I expect you to put your best effort into everything you do. I expect great things from each of you. So don't let us down. Don't let your family down or your country down. Most of all, don't let yourself down. Make us all proud. Thank you very much, everybody. God bless you. God bless America. But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world -- and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other alts and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. That』s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your ecation.

Maybe you could be a great writer -- maybe even good enough to write a book or articles in a newspaper -- but you might not know it until you write that English paper -- that English class paper that』s assigned to you. Maybe you could be an innovator or an inventor -- maybe even good enough to come up with the next iPhone or the new medicine or vaccine -- but you might not know it until you do your project for your science class. Maybe you could be a mayor or a senator or a Supreme Court justice -- but you might not know that until you join student government or the debate team.

You want to be a nurse or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? You』re going to need a good ecation for every single one of those careers. You cannot drop out of school and just drop into a good job. You』ve got to train for it and work for it and learn for it.

You』ll need the creativity and ingenuity you develop in all your classes to build new companies that will create new jobs and boost our economy.

Now, I know it』s not always easy to do well in school. I know a lot of you have challenges in your lives right now that can make it hard to focus on your schoolwork.

I get it. I know what it』s like. My father left my family when I was two years old, and I was raised by a single mom who had to work and who struggled at times to pay the bills and wasn』t always able to give us the things that other kids had. But they worked hard, and she worked hard, so that she could go to the best schools in this country.

當然，這些變化也打亂了固有的生活和工作格局，給貴國的環境造成了巨大壓力。以前，每個城市居民到國有企業就業都有保障。現在，你們必須到就業市場上去競爭。以前，每個中國工人只要滿足北京中央計劃人員的要求，現在，全球性經濟意味著人人必須跟上世界其他地區的質量和創造力。對於缺乏適當訓練、技能和支持的人們來說，這個新世界的確令人生畏。

在短期內，一些誠實勤快的人會失業。正如你們所見，過去20年的開發模式和能源使用模式，造成了空氣污染、濫伐森林、酸雨和缺水，在環境、經濟和醫療保健方面帶來了巨大代價。

二十一世紀是你們的世紀。中美兩國將面臨亞洲安全的挑戰。我們兩國曾在朝鮮半島為敵，現在我們攜手合作，為一個永久和平和無核武器的未來而努力。

在二十一世紀，你們年輕一代的使命是必須保證今天的進步發展不以明天為代價。中國過去20年來的快速增長以遭受毒害為代價，即貴國人民的飲用水和呼吸的空氣都已遭受污染。這種代價不僅僅體現在環境方面，對人民的健康也造成了嚴重的危害，而且還會阻礙經濟的發展。

從我居住的華盛頓特區白宮的窗口向外眺望，我們第一任總統喬治．華盛頓的紀念碑俯視全城。那是一座高聳的方形尖塔。在這個龐大的紀念碑旁，有一塊很小的石碑，上面刻著的碑文是：美國決不設置貴族和皇室頭銜，也不建立世襲制度。國家事務由輿論公決。

美國就是這樣建立了一個從古至今史無前例的嶄新政治體系。這是最奇妙的事物。這些話不是美國人寫的，而出自福建省巡撫徐繼玉(Xu Jiyu)之手，並於1853年 由中國政府刻成碑文，作為禮物送給美國。

過去20年以來，一個高漲的自由浪潮解放了成千上百萬的生靈，掃除了前蘇聯和中歐那種失敗的獨裁統治，結束了拉美國家軍事政變和內戰的惡性循環，使更多的非洲人民有機會享受來之不易的獨立。從菲律賓到南朝鮮，從泰國到蒙古，自由之浪已沖到亞洲的海岸，給發展和生產力注入了動力。

經濟保障也應該是自由的要素。這在《聯合國經濟社會文化權益公約》中獲得承認。在中國，你們為培育這種自由已邁出了大步，保證不遭受匱乏，並成為貴國人民的力量源泉。中國人的收入提高了，貧困現象減輕了；人們有了更多的選擇就業的機會和外出旅遊的機會，有了創造更好生活的機會。但真正的自由不僅僅是經濟的自由。我們美國人民認為這是一個不可分割的概念。

在過去的四天中，我在中國看到了自由的許多表現形式。我在貴國內地的一個村莊看到民主的萌芽正在迸發。我訪問了一個自由選舉村委領導的村莊。我也看到了大哥大電話、錄象機和帶來全世界觀念、信息和圖象的傳真機。我聽到人們抒發自己的想法，我還同當地的人們一起為我選擇的宗教信仰祈禱。在所有這些方面，我感覺到自由的微風在吹拂。

但人們不禁要問，我們的發展方向是什麼？我們怎樣相互合作走上歷史的正確一面？貴校偉大的政治思想家之一、胡適教授在50多年前說過：「有些人對我說，為了國家的自由你必須犧牲自己的個人自由。但我回答，為了個人自由而奮斗就是為了國家的自由而奮斗。為了個性而奮斗就是為了國民性而奮斗。」

我們美國人認為胡適是對的。我們相信，並且我們的經驗表明，自由加強穩 定，自由有助於國家的變革。

我國的一位開國先賢本傑明．富蘭克林曾經說過：「我們的批評者是我們的朋友，因為他們指出我們的缺點。」如果這話正確，在美國很多時候，總統的朋友比其他任何人都多。

在我們生活的世界，全球性的信息時代、不斷的改進和變革是增加經濟機會和國力的必要條件。因此，讓信息、觀念和看法最自由地流通，更多地尊重不同的政治和宗教信仰，實際上將增加實力，推動穩定。

因此，為了貴國和世界的根本利益，中國的年輕人必須享有心靈上的自由，以便最充分地開發自己的潛力。這是我們時代的信息，也是新的世紀和新的千年的要求。

據5月21日報道，美國前總統卡特當日參加弗吉尼亞州自由大學2018年畢業典禮版，他在發權表演講時開玩笑稱，他的聽眾人數超過了一年期在同一地點發表演講的現任總統特朗普。

報道稱，卡特的這句玩笑引來了現場的鬨堂大笑。這令人想起2017年1月，特朗普就職典禮的電視直播畫面中，現場觀眾明顯少於其前任奧巴馬的就職典禮。時任白宮發言人肖恩?斯派塞在事後為特朗普極力辯解稱「那是有著最多觀禮人數的就職典禮，不論就現場人數還是全世界觀眾，事實是這樣」。
