美國大學留學面試官喜歡問什麼?
1、你為什麼想去美國讀書?
當被問到這個美國本科面試問題的時候，各位光回答美國學校更好，或者光回答你去過美國，特別喜歡美國是不夠的。至少，你得解釋美國到底具體是哪一點吸引你了。你以前去美國的時候，喜歡它什麼?你認為在美國學習能獲得什麼在中國或者別的地方得不到的收獲?許多學生回答說因為想有更國際化的經歷，認識不同國家的人。但是，這個出國去任何國家都可以做到，未必是美國。
2、你的強項和弱項是什麼?
在美國本科面試時，遇到這個問題，最重要的是學生得用例子支撐他們說的品質。比如，如果一個學生說他自己很「熱情」，但是沒給出例子來證明他怎麼熱情，對面試官來說幫助並不大。試著想一些可以讓你從申請者中脫穎而出的品質。
關於弱項方面，學生需要找到一個方法正面講述自己的缺點。指出自己的缺點是件好事，因為這表明你承認你不是一個完美的人，有可以提高的地方，而這是人之常情。但是，你絕對不想講一個過於負面的特質，或者講得像你一點也不想改正它一樣。你應該承認這個特質是一個弱點，然後解釋你怎樣努力嘗試改正。
3、你能介紹一下自己嗎?
這個美國大學本科面試題看似簡單，其實要回答的內容比問題本身要難的多。如何用簡單的幾句話回答面試官這個問題而得到面試官的認可就非常重要了。在回答問題的時候確實很難避免提到我很友好，我是個好學生，我是一個有責任心的人;我們需要告訴面試官我自己很優秀，我很勤奮，但是要注意在回答的時候要讓面試官認為你真的和其他學生不同。這個面試機會對學生來講是非常重要的，你可以在回答問題的時候表現出你的不同，你的熱情，你務必要告訴面試官你是怎樣的一個人。
千萬不要花太多時間告訴面試官我們都能想像的到得答案(比如我很勤奮，我很有責任心)，而是要告訴面試官你的熱情，你的愛好，為什麼你的朋友喜歡你，為什麼你會開心，為什麼你會生氣;你也可以告訴面試官你是否有過深夜打著手電筒看書的經歷，你是否曾經嘗試過鑽木取火，並成功過。你要介紹的是真正的你，要很真誠並且很認真的回答問題，要讓面試官感到你是在描繪一個五彩斑斕的你，而不是在畫簡單的素描。通過你的經歷、故事來告訴面試官你是一個怎樣的人。
4、你能講一個你克服困難的經歷嗎?
這個問題的目的是要了解你對困難如何應對，也同時讓面試官更了解你的成長經歷。回答這個問題的時候，你的目標是要講自己表現為一個成熟的、能從困難中學習和成長的人。要小心選擇你的例子：如果你選了一個特別瑣碎的例子，比如選擇上什麼課，那面試官可能覺得你根本沒處理過真正重要的事情——你不想給他留下這個印象的!一個好答案得平衡這三個方面：面臨的挑戰、你的應對、事情的結果。
描述情景的時候不要泛泛而談：你需要告訴面試官那情景究竟是什麼，為什麼是一個困難的事情。要保證你說得夠清楚，面試官能明白困難是什麼。記住，面試官不認識你，你可能得給他一點背景信息。

答案是否定的，但是其重要性是不可忽略的。我們可以以美國大學商學院的一些面試規則為例講解。 首先美國哈佛大學商學院MBA的面試規則是Byinvitationonly，提供hub、campus、電話三種方式，大約有20-25%的申請人能收到面試，面試後被錄取的概率為50%;沃頓商學院（Wharton）MBA面試Byinvitationonly，提供hub、campus、校友三種方式，不提供電話方式，面試通知的過程是滾動（rolling）的，中間有一個mid-decisiondate，收不到面試的同學會在當天收到拒信，大約有30-40%的申請人能收到面試，面試後被錄取的概率為30%。 就簡單的列舉了上述的兩所美國知名大學面試規則，我們不難看出面試在錄取中佔有的重要角色。 另外對於大部分學生來說，拿到學校的美國大學面試也就意味著距離錄取和獎助學金只有一步之遙了。一般來說，面試在整個申請過程中並不會起著決定性作用，但如果准備不好或者口頭表達能力太差，申請往往會功虧一簣，即使拿到面試也只和最終錄取和獎學金無緣。 許多學校（教授）的面試並不是差額面試，也就是說，教授已經基本決定錄取你，但是在錄取之前還不放心，還要驗證一下你的書面申請材料是否屬實，包括你的學術背景、工作經驗和研究興趣，你的英文表達能力能否勝任TA的職位。在這種情況下，如果你的口頭表達能力不是太差的話，至少不要離教授的期望值太遠就基本上都可以拿到最後的錄取。 當然，很多學校的美國大學面試是差額面試，當很多申請者的TG成績，大學成績很相近，而他們的自述和推薦信又不能把他們完全區分開來的時候，教授就會通過面試來篩選，這時候的原則就是擇優錄取。
