3、言之有序，條理要清楚。根據所述時間選擇合理的順序來安排材料。一般敘事順敘、倒敘和插敘三種。

4、詳略得當，突出重點。一般事件的材料有主次之分，能體現文章中心的材料是主要材料，這部分要詳寫，次要內容可略寫或不寫，主次分明，給讀者以深刻的印象。
