Hello everyone.Today I'm glad to be here to give a speech about my fresh experience in China Agriculture University.
First I must say the campus life is really different from what I have experienced in high school.For instance,I used to lean upon my dormitory teacher to wake me up on time.But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning otherwise I would miss my class.And then even worse there would be nobody remind me

我们在国内学英语，老师说trip和journey的区别在于前者指短途旅行而后者指时间较长一点的旅行，其实并非如此。老美们一律把旅行叫做trip，管你时间长还是短。
还有楼层数的表示方法，我们学英语时觉得“一楼”最烦，叫做the ground floor，“二楼”才叫the first floor，很搞脑子;但是老美们的思路非常简单，“一楼”就叫the first floor，“二楼”就叫the second floor，以此类推。还有，老美同学从来不把自己大学叫做university，总是用college来取代，仿佛在他们的概念里college就是大学，然而我们的知识是college只是university里的一个学院而已。
最后再说一个行李问题，国内书本上都教的是luggage，美国人却只说baggage，而这个词却还有另一层奇怪的意思，就是妓女，真不知道美语是怎么设计的。
跟美国当地同学相处，会发现很多不同的语气感叹词，这些可以作为基础知识为即将赴美留学的人士做个提醒。比方说，美国同学爱说yikes，表示非常惊讶的一种语气词，而我们表达感叹时一般只会“哇噢(Wow!)，其实这个已经out啦。还有一种他们爱在一句话前先发出一声“Gee……”，也是一种表达惊讶或赞赏的口气。比如他们会说：“Gee，你居然拿了个A!”“Gee，今天有派对可以参加!”等等。

2、spring chicken和lame ck是指春天孵出的小鸡和瘸腿的鸭子吗?当然不是，读一读下面这两句话，猜猜它们的意思吧。(1)The woman said，over forty，so I'm not a spring chicken any more.(2)The governor of our state ended up as a lame ck when he lost the election.
