二、看中AP课程：美国很多名高中是没有很多AP课程的，但是每个学校都可以进行AP考试，因为美国名高中的一些高难度的课程得到了美国常春藤大学等名校的认可，其难度比AP课程都难很多。所以不要一味地看美国高中有多少AP课程来作为选择美国私立高中的标准。同时美国大部分高中对于学习AP课程都有要求，不是随便可以去学习和参加考试的。
三、地理位置：美国东西海岸的高中吸引了很多学生和家长，但是美国也有一些着名高中在中部或南部，他们每年都向美国着名高校输送了很多学生，同样非常优秀。同时，东西海岸因为地理位置优越，申请竞争非常激烈，因此选择的时候也应适当调整思路。
四早轿散、男校和女校：单一性别学校和男女同校没有本质区别，仅仅针对男性或女性的社会认知，进行一些性格塑造培养的课程，或者仅仅是因为家长“求得放心”的因素。比如您儿子如果进入男校，并不意味着远离女生，学校每周都会安排和临近女校的联欢活动。

美国最早的私立大学之一。以培养研究生和从事科学研究为主的综合性大学。总部位于波士顿的剑桥城，总地址是Byerly Hall, 8 Garden Street, Cambridge，邮编为02138。医学院和商学院位于波士顿市区。在剑桥城，与哈佛大学相邻的是与之齐名的麻省理工学院(MIT)。有趣的是，两所大学校园之间并没有明显的界线。
